This week was the start of the Olmsted County candidate debates. Republicans and Democrats vying for voters. Each there to prove one had a better plan than the other.

What I heard from the Democratic candidates was nothing more than viewing the taxpayer as an ATM machine for funding more of their social programs.

The Democrats want to stop the data centers. All said they wanted to put a moratorium on data centers till more studies were done. They seemed unaware that we have had data centers around for some time.

That’s what the Dems had to offer. We heard nothing about fixing the fraud, or the over spending by the legislature or the school board.

Republicans talked about what they would do when voted into office to address fraud, waste, and high taxes.

Republicans offer common sense solutions.
