Born and raised in Minnesota, John Howie is a Navy veteran, former corporate sales and management professional with 12 years of business experience, and a small business owner. Throughout his life, John has been committed to serving his community and defending the values he believes make Minnesota and America strong.

John has served as a Ballot Board Judge, Election Judge, Republican delegate to the state convention, and a dedicated volunteer for numerous grassroots Republican candidates—from local races to presidential campaigns. His experience has given him firsthand insight into the challenges facing Minnesota families and the importance of accountable, transparent government.

He is concerned about rising taxes, government waste and fraud, and legislation he opposes, including the expansion of late-term abortion access by the Minnesota legislature. He believes taxpayers deserve a government that lives within its means, respects their hard-earned money, and remains accountable to the people it serves.

If elected, John will fight to reduce wasteful spending, strengthen oversight of government programs, and ensure taxpayer dollars are protected through strong safeguards and rigorous enforcement. He is committed to fiscal responsibility, individual liberty, public safety, and policies that help Minnesota families, businesses, and communities thrive.

John believes public office is about service—not politics. He is running in Senate District 25 to be a strong, principled voice for hardworking Minnesotans and to help build a future defined by opportunity, responsibility, and freedom for generations to come.
